Listed Building Consent

Where it is proposed to alter a listed building, or any building or structure within its curtilage (grounds) you are likely to need listed building consent. This is separate from and additional to the need for planning permission and Building Regulation approval.

JME Conservation is able to provide advice to clients on the implications of listing and advise on what is likely to be granted listed building consent, and how best to address concerns raised by the local planning authority.

Please be aware that all listed buildings and indeed local authorities are different and what may be acceptable within one building or authority area may not be acceptable in another.
